Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I'm joining you to share a new day in my life. Now that the holidays have arrived (at least from school), I've been able to dedicate myself fully to working on the business my sister and I are starting. The truth is, we've been a bit stressed lately because we need to take photos and videos to create a really complete and beautiful catalog for our venture. The thing is, obviously, since I have the products in hand, I'm the one who can take the creative photos because she's not in the same country. Thankfully, I have my partner, Wilfredo, who is a photographer and lightens my workload with his professional knowledge of photography, editing, and post-production.
However, it hasn't all been smooth sailing because this November and part of December have been incredibly rainy. But these aren't even the short, light showers that barely bother you; they're the long, sudden downpours that tend to last quite a while. Above all, as I mentioned before, the rains in Puerto Ordaz are anything but normal. When it rains here, it pours, like a downpour. That means strong winds, heavy raindrops, and constant force. This is why I haven't been able to go outside to take pictures of the different models of handbags, wallets, messenger bags, and cardholders we have available in the store. This is a very important reason, as none of the merchandise can get wet.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. Ahora que llegaron las vacaciones (al menos del colegio), he podido dedicarme de lleno a trabajar en el negocio que mi hermana y yo estamos haciendo. Lo cierto es que, en estos días hemos estado un poco estresada porque tenemos la necesidad de tomar fotografías y videos para hacer un catálogo bien completo y bonito para nuestro emprendimiento. La cuestión es que obviamente yo, quién tengo los artículos en mano, soy quien puede hacer las fotografías creativas porque ella no se encuentra en el mismo país. Gracias al cielo cuento con mi pareja, Wilfredo, quién es fotógrafo y me alivia la carga de trabajo con sus conocimientos profesionales sobre fotografía, edición y montaje.
Sin embargo no todo ha sido del todo de color rosa pues justamente, este mes de noviembre y parte del mes de diciembre, ha habido muchísimas lluvias. Pero no son siquiera lluvias de esas cortas que apenas molestan, son de aquellas largas que irrumpen sin previo aviso y suelen durar bastante. Sobre todo, como he comentado anteriormente, en la ciudad de Puerto Ordaz las lluvias no son nada normales. Aquí cuando llueve, llueve intensamente y cómo si fuera una tormenta. Eso es con vientos fuertes, gotas gruesas y constante fuerza. Razón por la cual no he podido salir al exterior a tomar fotografías con los modelos de carteras, billeteras, bandoleros y tarjeteros que tenemos disponibles en el negocio. Razón súper importante pues ninguna mercancía se puede mojar.
There was one day when we were downstairs taking pictures of the items, but suddenly it clouded over, and we knew it was time to pack everything up and go home. Fortunately, we were prepared, and nothing happened, but it was a shame to lose that day because it had been a fantastic sunny day for taking beautiful, high-quality photos. For now, I'll wait for a better day. As Scarlett O'Hara said in "Gone with the Wind": I'll think about it tomorrow. The truth is, my cats don't seem bothered by the rain at all; on the contrary, it gives them even more reason to seek each other's warmth and sleep soundly. Hubo un día en el que estábamos abajo tomando fotos a los artículos, pero repentinamente se nublo todo y sabíamos que era hora de tomar todo y volver a casa. Por fortuna, nosotros fuimos precavidos y nada paso, pero fue una lastima perder ese día porque había hecho un sol fantástico para poder tomar fotografías bonitas y de calidad. Por los momentos, esperaré a que haya un día mejor. Cómo dijo Scarlett O'Hara en lo que el "El viento se llevó": pensaré en ello mañana. Lo cierto es que mis gatos no parecen nada molestos con la presencia de las lluvias, al contrario, les da una razón más para buscar calor mutuo y dormir profundamente.
