Wacky Wednesday - Win HBD!

It's Wacky Wednesday, and we've made it halfway through the week! I don't know about you, but Wednesdays always seem to be the day when the weirdest things happen to me.

Today's Weirdness
So my wife and I finished putting the kids to bed. We like to watch holiday movies once October hits, so we decided to watch Garfield's Thanksgiving.

We get halfway through the DVD and the Blu-Ray player just shuts off. Lovely. It's been doing this the last few years. We'll be replacing it this Christmas. I reload the movie. Scene selection only has three options, so I choose earlier in the movie and fast forward. We finish watching the movie without a hitch. Time for the next movie!

We have pet gates up in front of the entertainment center, to keep the kids from hitting the TV and getting into cords and expensive electronics. I hit the eject button and the tray hits the back of the gate and closes because the gate is pushing on the entertainment center door. I gently pull back on the gate and door to try it again and "Pop!"

The cheap particle board material gives away and the door breaks off. Lovely. At this point I'm not going to bother fixing it. I figure at some point I'll bolt a metal plate to the front, to keep the door pin in place. It may not look the prettiest, but it'll work. My wife says she's tired, so now it's just me finishing the movie, with my beer keeping me company.
