$1 Wyoming Goldback

Have you been online shopping and you have a credit to use up, so you start finding inexpensive things to throw in your basket? Well, that's how I ended up with this $1 Wyoming Goldback.

Goldbacks aren't a good investment choice. I buy them as collectibles with no expectation that they will be worth more than I paid for them. Still, they are certainly beautiful to look at, and there are far worse ways to spend money.

Goldbacks are so difficult to photograph. I think for the next one I may try running it on a scanner. It's so shiny that it seems impossible to get a good angle.

If you're looking for a fun collector's item, you can't go wrong with Goldbacks, especially considering how high the price of gold is right now. I think this only cost me around $6-7 at the time, so they're quite inexpensive for the $1 versions.
