Hey, Splinterfam! We're wrapping up this season and getting ready for this new stage of Splinterlands in the summer, my favorite season of the year! To give a quick rundown, I haven't progressed as much as I would have liked in Wild; unfortunately, connection issues have persisted these past few weeks. As a result, I've only been able to progress to Diamond I in Wild, which is a shame considering we had a free pass to play in Wild. Now, it's necessary to purchase the terrible Season Pass.

I haven't had much luck with the archons opening AC packs. I still haven't gotten a Water class one. I had to buy the one I have at the market to use in my first battles and learn how it works. So far, the dragon, life, and fire archons are my favorites.

But in this post, I want to begin this initial exploration of the archons' potential with Fithe Bladestone. This is the summoner who has given me the most victories. His ability, linked to his bloodline, has been very useful in many battles in the new Modern format.

As I mentioned in previous posts, bloodline means that this archon can bring cards that share the same bloodline to the battlefield, regardless of whether they are of the same class or not. But the interesting thing is that this archon grants an extra ability to those cards that share the same bloodline. In Fithe Bladestone's case, he shares the Void ability. When choosing cards, you can identify those with a lineage because they have a specific frame design.

1st battle: Fithe Bladestone & Mana Warden

Our first battle will be with Mana Warden. This promotional card's bloodline is Dwarven, so it can benefit from the Archon's Void ability. This game is quite short on mana, so our main tank will be Halfling Refugee, whose defense we'll reinforce with Mana Warden and its Shield Ward ability, which grants the tank a shield ability. As a last card, we'll take a chance with Kha'zi Conjurer, taking advantage of its high ranged damage, so it might be able to eliminate an enemy before they begin to harm us.

Nuestra primera batalla será con Mana Warden, el linaje de esta carta promocional es enano por lo que puede beneficiarse de la habilidad vacío que confiere el arconte. Having Kha'zi Conjurer in the back position helped us eliminate the enemy tank and leave the opponent with only magic units. Although they eliminated our tank, they couldn't do anything with Mana Warden and its Void ability. Next battle!

Contar con Kha'zi Conjurer en la última posición nos ayudó a eliminar el tanque enemigo y dejar al oponente con solo unidades mágicas y aunque eliminaron a nuestro tanque, no pudieron hacer nada con Mana Warden y su habilidad vacío. Siguiente batalla!

2nd battle: Fithe Bladestone & Ashen Cindergrim

Ashen Cindergrim, unlike Mana Warden, is from the CA edition but shares the same lineage. It's a 4-mana magic card that's always useful in Little League ruleset battles. Being a magic attack card, we'll place it in third position, leaving Halfling Refugee and Drybone Hobgoblin in the vanguard. Finally, in last position, we'll have two non-attacking cards: Conclave Artificer and Nimbledook Scout, which we'll empower with magic attacks using Moxian Rebel.

Ashen Cindergrim a diferencia de Mana Warden es de la edición CA pero comparten el mismo linaje, es una carta mágica de 4 de mana que siempre son útiles en batallas con la ruleset little league. Al ser una carta de ataque mágico la ubicaremos en la tercera posición dejando en la vanguardia a Halfling Refugee y Drybone Hobgoblin. Finalmente en la última posición tendremos a 2 cartas sin ataque: Conclave Artificer y Nimbledook Scout que vamos a empoderar con ataques mágicos usando a Moxian Rebel.

Our opponent used a similar lineup to ours, but the key at this point was having a unit protected against magic attacks. Simply eliminating the enemy vanguard, which had melee attacks, was enough to nullify their ability to damage us, thus sealing the victory.

Nuestro oponente uso una alineación similar a la nuestra pero la clave en este punto fue tener una unidad blindada contra los ataques mágicos, bastó con eliminar la vanguardia enemiga que tenían ataques melé para anular las capacidad de hacernos daño sellando así la victoria.

Fithe Bladestone is a truly competent archon. It's an interesting combination of modifiers: +2 defense for all units and void ability for units that share the same bloodline. It's a very complete set of cards for starting battles in the Modern format. If we add the Rebellion Edition reward cards, we can put together a good team for those like me who are just starting out in the Bronze League with Level 1 Summoners. Fithe Bladestone resulta un arconte realmente competente, es una combinación interesante la de sus modificadores: +2 de defensa para todas las unidades y habilidad vacío para aquellas unidades que compartan linaje sanguíneo. Es muy completo para comenzar las batallas en el formato moderno, si a esto sumamos las cartas rewards de la edición Rebellion podemos armar un buen equipo para aquellos como yo que estoy empezando en la liga bronce con los invocadores de nivel 1.
