¡Hola amigos viajeros, feliz inicio de año! ¿Qué tal esas vacaciones? Espero que hayan tenido mucho viajes. Por mi parte, terminé el año y de igual manera lo inicié en un lugar maravilloso ubicado en el Tayrona. Estos días tuve la oportunidad de hacer algunas actividades, entre esas, conocer ''La poza encantada'' la cual esta ubicada cerca del Parque Nacional Tayrona, y es conocido como uno de esos rincones que parecen secretos de la naturaleza.

La poza encantada es una piscina natural de agua dulce rodeada de selva, montañas, piedras gigantes y prácticamente es un lugar bastante silencioso donde solo se hace presente el sonido de los pájaros y las cascadas que hay cerca. El agua en este lugar es cristalina, fresca, serena y de un color verde realmente hermoso, es como si el tiempo se detuviera justo ahí.

Hello fellow travelers, happy new year! How were your vacations? I hope you got to travel a lot. As for me, I ended the year and started the new one in a wonderful place located in Tayrona. During those days, I had the opportunity to do some activities, including visiting “La poza encantada” (The Enchanted Pool), which is located near Tayrona National Park and is known as one of those places that seem like secrets of nature.

La Poza Encantada is a natural freshwater pool surrounded by jungle, mountains, and giant rocks. It's a very quiet place where the only sounds are birds singing and nearby waterfalls. The water here is crystal clear, cool, serene, and a truly beautiful green color. It's as if time has stopped right there.

Nosotros nos hospedamos en un Eco hotel, también rodeado de mucha naturaleza, que esta prácticamente a unos 15 minutos en carro hasta la entrada donde debemos registrarnos y comprar las entradas a la poza encantada, por lo que parqueamos justo allí y luego recorrimos 2.5 km caminando hasta la poza, la caminata fue bastante agradable ya que todo el lugar esta rodeado de bosque tropical y el río Mandihuaca. Por cierto, el valor de la entrada es de $11.000 pesos Colombianos ($2.92 Dólares) por persona y los animalitos entran gratis.

Se dice que su nombre no es casual ya que el lugar transmite una energía especial, de conexión profunda con la tierra. Muchos la describen como un espacio para renovar el alma, agradecer, respirar profundo y simplemente estar. No es solo un sitio para nadar, es una experiencia de calma, introspección y respeto por la naturaleza.

We stayed at an eco-hotel, also surrounded by nature, which is about a 15-minute drive from the entrance where we had to register and buy tickets to la Poza Encantada. We parked right there and then walked 2.5 km to the pool. The walk was quite pleasant as the whole place is surrounded by tropical forest and the Mandihuaca River. By the way, the entrance fee is 11,000 Colombian pesos (US$2.92) per person, and pets get in free.

It is said that its name is no coincidence, as the place transmits a special energy, a deep connection with the earth. Many describe it as a space to renew the soul, give thanks, breathe deeply, and simply be. It is not just a place to swim; it is an experience of calm, introspection, and respect for nature.

Aunque a mitad de camino pensamos que no lo íbamos a lograr, cada vez estábamos más cerca y solo de imaginarnos lo hermoso que era el lugar, nos animamos. El recorrido no fue nada sencillo ya que toca pasar por algunas rocas, bajar escaleras, saltar algunas ramas de árboles de ida y regreso, pero al ver todo el paisaje de al rededor el cansancio queda en un segundo plano.

Por cierto, el agua es tan pura que hay vida en ella, pudimos ver unos peces algo grandes que nos acompañaron en nuestro baño. También, esta la opción de solo refrescarse en la poza o darse un baño en las cascadas. El lugar cuenta con una persona guía o socorrista que esta pendiente de los visitantes, así que por ese lado estuvimos algo tranquilos.

Although halfway there we thought we weren't going to make it, we were getting closer and closer, and just imagining how beautiful the place was encouraged us. The route was not easy, as we had to climb over rocks, go down stairs, and jump over tree branches on the way there and back, but when we saw the surrounding landscape, our fatigue faded into the background.

By the way, the water is so pure that there is life in it. We saw some rather large fish that accompanied us as we swam. You also have the option of just cooling off in the pool or taking a dip in the waterfalls. The place has a guide or lifeguard who keeps an eye on visitors, so we felt quite safe in that regard.

Al final, solo nos dimos un corto chapuzón con Zoe y Maya, el agua estaba bastante fría pero simplemente deliciosa, tomamos algunas fotos de esta hermosura y emprendimos nuestro viaje de vuelta ya que tocaba caminar otros 2.5 km. De hecho, el camino de regreso fue un poco más desafiante ya que nos tocaba subir una larga escalera de piedras y el aire nos fallaba un poco. De igual manera, lo disfrutamos al máximo, ya que todo hace parte de la experiencia.

In the end, we only took a quick dip with Zoe and Maya. The water was quite cold but simply delicious. We took some photos of this beauty and began our return trip, as we had another 2.5 km to walk. In fact, the way back was a little more challenging, as we had to climb a long stone staircase and we were running out of breath a little. Even so, we enjoyed it to the fullest, as it's all part of the experience.

Este rincón del Tayrona es ideal para quienes aman explorar con calma y para los que disfrutan perderse un poco. La Poza Encantada es una parada obligatoria para viajeros curiosos, amantes de la naturaleza. De hecho, es visitada por muchos turistas. Quizá en este lugar no hay lujos, pero es una aventura única entre el bosque y río, con una sensación de relajación y libertad que se queda contigo incluso después de irte.

This corner of Tayrona is ideal for those who love to explore at a leisurely pace and enjoy getting a little lost. La Poza Encantada is a must-see for curious travelers and nature lovers. In fact, it is visited by many tourists. There may be no luxuries here, but it is a unique adventure between the forest and the river, with a feeling of relaxation and freedom that stays with you even after you leave.

Puede que hayamos terminado algo cansados, pero eso sí, super recargados. Sin duda, fue una experiencia increíble que les recomiendo vivir en algún momento de sus vidas.
