Boring Background

I'm Blingit. An Aussie SAHM who spends my life at the ballet studio with my kids and in my spare time i paint.

I can be a bit on and off again with my art, fits of activity where i finish more paintings in a week that i do in 5 months at other times.

I had a hand injury 2 years ago that damaged the nerves in my painting hand. Its been a slow road and i think we are as good as we are going to get. It doesnt stop me painting, but it sure slows me down.

Moving Studio Rooms

I recently (ok not so recently) moved around the house so i can get the big front room to use as an office and art studio. Then promptly didn't unpack all the art stuff as it looked too beautiful and tidy. But i need to get back into my art, so here we are.

Todays Daily Painting

I move the paintings around on a daily basis depending on my mood. lol. Todays SHOT AT THE FRONT is a small rural Australian scene with some dubious cows and a hazy sky.

its often here in Aus, that the sky has just got dust all through it and is quite hazy.

It took about 30 mins - 1 hour to complete. I paint these little paintings as they keep me painting and not worrying about the big details just getting an expression on the panel.

This was painted just before i moved into this room last year.

As you can see above i play around displaying all the little daily paintings in the bookshelf. Depending on my mood. (Dont worry the books are all safe.)

I have tried to get lots of plants into the studio area as they are so calming.

Here i am just setting up some of the bigger pieces. Im nearly dine with the one on the right.

Whats missing

A desk... a desk you say... and stuff... lol

like i said. its a Work in progress. Husband is going to make me a desk. he got the desk in the room switch around you see.

i have all my paints in the big drawers, and i have like 1000 brushes everywhere too.. it just cant get as messy as my last studio!!!
