Caturday on Saturday

Even though today is the official beginning of summer, we have had summer temperatures for a while now and Chiqui, during the hot hours of the day is keeping a safe distance from the edge of the shade. and thank god, today is a very moderate day temperature wise with supposed maximum of 33 degrees centigrade.

she spends hours on end in a never ending siesta, drinking lots of water and eating smaller amounts on more occasions.

just like her, I find myself resting a lot, recovering from the heat, drinking a lot and trying as much as possible to stay out of the sun in the hot hours of the day.
it is a blessing at the end of such a hot day to take a fresh shower under the big cork oak tree before calling it a day.
I suspect Chiqui will not agree with me on that one though 😆
