About 20 years ago. When the population of Bangladesh was ninety million, the amount of land that was cultivated is the same as the amount of land that is currently cultivated. At that time, our farmers could only produce 5 to 7 tons of rice per hundred acres of land. Because modern agriculture was not used then.

However, now it is 2026. There is a scientific rice research center and they are constantly researching rice there. Through constant research, new varieties are being discovered. New rice is being invented and as a result, although earlier there was 5 to 7 tons of rice per hundred acres of land, now due to the great contribution of science, 25 to 30 tons of rice are available per hundred acres of land. How do you see this?

Basically, science has a huge contribution here. Where 5 to 7 maunds of rice were available even 15 years ago, today it is possible to produce 25 to 30 maunds of rice. If farmers try their best all their lives, it will not be possible to achieve this success. It is only because of the contribution of science and the advanced use of technology that we are able to move forward through this beautiful technology. Basically, this is why science is much ahead in the field of agriculture.

Scientists are researching rice at rice research centers or in the rice fields. As a result, they are constantly discovering new varieties. When new varieties are being applied in the field, they help improve our quality of life.

I have only informed you about rice. However, agriculture is not limited to rice alone. A farmer can produce any crop to earn his own livelihood if he wants. Notable among these are rice, jute, wheat, corn, any type of vegetable, and various other crops.
