My perfect plot.

Prologue
I wrote around 15 posts about Land, calculating different strategies and planning mine accordingly. That helped me a lot in understanding how Praetoria works, what to take into account and the possibilities that it holds within.
A while ago I purchased a really good plot, a rare canyon, for only $15 from a buddy who is unfortunately leaving the game. I now finished the set-up for it, and I'm incredibly happy with how it's going. I'll share a little bit of experience here, hoping that it will help other people.
You can find most of the links to my calculations below, including the the one that features the spreadsheet I used, free to download from Google Sheets.

The Set-Up
Canyon is awesome as I can use 3 different Splinter to get the 10% bonus on production - Fire, Death and Dragon.
Doesn't this look beautiful?
I got 4 maxed Beta Rare RF cards for a total of $112,5. The GF Fire Spitter I already had bought a few months ago for a different plot, for $144. The Title was there, too, and I got the Rare Totem for $60, which is a good price.
In the end, the total price was $192,50. If I count in the title that I got from the pre-sale, and the Spitter that I already had, it would be around $400.
Why moving the Spitter and the title?
Because this plot has more overall bonus. Combining all my highest PP cards on one plot with the highest boosts brings the best outcome.

The Production

Almost 100 Stone per hour on this plot! Thanks to the +45% production that it receives, and the +10% for the right cards.
Since the base production is "only" 31,000 PP, I only pay 310 grain/h. That's good, as grain has become expensive, and even with my bonuses included, it eats up 45% of my production.

After paying for my grain, I'd have 55,694 stone/h left, around 4 DEC per hour; 96/day; 2,880/month; 35,040/year. At the current rates, that puts me at 6,7% return counting everything, and 13,5% if I only count the new buys.
In comparison, the same production points on a Grain-Plot would provide me with 678 Grain/h after paying the harvest, translating to 6 DEC per hour - that is 50% more.

New Focus
So, I'm now focusing on Grain. Swapping always comes with a 10% fee, so it will be cheaper for me if I produce enough grain for my plots - and I found a good deal to do so.

I already owned one copy of the GF Mischievous Mermaid, and when I found 3 more for a total of only $102, I pulled the trigger. That card alone boosted my grain production by 300/hour.
Unfortunately, that's not enough. I still need to produce 170 Grain more per hour to supply for the needs of my plots.
What can I do?
Switch around some cards. I could take the maxed death card from the rare stone plot and put it into the bog, replacing the dragon card there that would go to the stone plot. That would bring 40 more grain.
Change the boosts. I could give my most productive Grain Farm a +35% by bringing the title and the rare totem upon it. That could bring me 130 more grain.
Chill and hoard the resources. Waiting for news on land and prices for resources pull higher again, for example when more kits are going to be crafted at the end of the current conflict. Or new items are introduced.
Chill and take it as it is. Selling the stone with a low return, and not worry about anything while slowly building my Beta collection to put more cards to work. 10% more or less won't make the big difference at the moment, and I bet that as soon as I change everything, there will be an innovation on Land and things will flip.

Conclusion
There are many good deals out there right now. Beta Rare GF for $7, GF Epics for $36, Alpha Rare GF for $38 are currently the best ones with a
of only 4,1. But from time to time, they drop even further, and hopefully I'll have enough DEC on the side lines to jump in for that. Or I just buy a few CC of regular Beta Rare after each harvest. In the meantime, I will chill and start harvesting the fruit of all the calculations and planning that I did in the last months. Having done that, it's now a lot easier to take educated decisions on how to manage my land - although there still might be some things to learn.
Thank you all for helping me out with your comments, ideas and motivation! It sure has been fun, but time to wrap up this cycle and find new topics to write about 🙃
