Two months ago I was approved as Lagos trusted local guide, which entrusted me with a great responsibility that I appreciate so much, this project has been like a life changer to so many people around the globe, and Lagos state will not be excluded from this positive experience and feedback from people.

Summary of what I have achieved.

I won't forget so easily how I struggled with Ideas on how to make this project work out here in Lagos state since Lagos state is a state that is so hard to convince and also they are more focused on what the government is saying about crypto transactions and finance issues, all this gave me great concern but I always knew that there will be interested people and businesses who will want to try out the project but the question is "where will I find them?" I was all alone, and marketing requires more than one person; I reached out to some hivers in Lagos, but they were not interested because of how difficult it will be to convince shop owners and customers.

I will always be grateful to @fokusnow, who never gave up on encouraging me to sit up and try a few things, who knows where and what will work?

I started by printing banners, T-shirts, and flyers. I created a WhatsApp group link where I invited people to come and shop and get discounts, and gradually, people joined the group, and it was a step toward my spending success.

My first workshop post link was the hardest so far, the shop owner made things difficult for me, she never gave me a second to breathe because she thought she was going to lose her money, same day network was so poor, and the people that came for the workshop had flat batteries, some couldn't even complete their transactions and their phones went off, I struggled with listing the shop and conducting the transactions because that was my first time, I even lost some money on the process because I didn't understand how everything works.

Gradually I can now quickly list a shop in a few minutes,
I have listed over 9 shops in Lagos state

Challenges

There have been challenges that can be discouraging but when I remember that as an entrepreneur I should expect challenges I find a way to resolve them, one of the challenges I face is when shop owners will want to get their money in our local currency before we leave the shop after shopping, that puts me on the hot heat of sorting out the transactions to get our local currency before we leave, also sometimes the network makes it very difficult to conduct transactions and swap hbd to our local currency, but @fokusnow has been of great help in that aspect and I appreciate him so much.

Most times, some newbies will find it difficult to claim their discount from the distriator app, and I deeply appreciate @starkerz so much, he has always been available to help me with reclaiming discounts and also setting up a shop page.

Recent report.

A few days ago I remembered an old hiver who had been inactive on the hive for over a year, so I approached him and told him about the spendhbd project which doesn't require him to create content and he was interested, I assisted him to log in to his account once again and add his active key to his hive keychain, I also helped him to buy a hive and swap to hbd in other to use it for transactions, he needs a lots of assistance because it has been a very long time and I have been available to assist him to shop at three different listed shops; @bokku-mart, @chiefomart, and @omalichafoods

Spendhbd marketing continues and will get more attention in Lagos state in 2025, more shops will be listed and more users will sign up, there is more to do which is to take the spendhbd project to big markets and schools in Lagos state, I have already mapped out how to meet with business owners in some big markets where they sell spare motor parts and other things.

More banners and flyers will be printed for the loud 📢 spendhbd project, whatever it takes to reach as many as possible will be done.
Conclusively, I want to use this medium to thank @distriator and every other personnel behind the success of the spendhbd project.
