Help to a fault?

Should you do that? Help to a fault when you know forever isn't promised? I love traveling a lot, and I have been doing more of that this year. Travelling exposes us to a lot of things, and we get to see new faces with their characters right with them. I traveled to Oyo state recently for a change of scenery, and everything is surely good or should I say was?
I came to notice that people in this part of the world beg a lot. It is super crazy that it just got me thinking, don't they have something to do? I know the country is a mess, but despite that, one needs to hustle instead of feeding off others. And I was once like that when I was in a higher institution. Whenever I see those beggars, my hands are always inside my purse to give out despite hardly feeding myself.
However, the thing that threw me off balance was the entitlement most of them have. They believe that since you always give to them, it should be so forever, but is that possible? I mean, are they planning to beg forever? Now, back to my visit to a new state, it was utterly disgusting to me seeing people who are fit to work begging from others. Yes, it is good to help, but are they also helping themselves? Heaven help those who help themselves, let's not forget that Biblical statement. The country is not nice to anyone except our leaders who have excess money.
So, why should I be giving you money when you can work? If I decided to have the mentality that those beggars have and almost 99 per cent of others have the same, then who is going to feed who? Truly, showing love to others is important if you are able to, but while you show them that love, let them learn as well. See if truly they are willing to work well if given one then, you can move from there. If you don't have the means of getting the person a job, here's when advice is needed. Talk to them, and even if it is a menial job, let them start something.
The reason people still beg a lot is because they know there's always a giver. They'll drain you and move to another person. I once saw a guy who was perfectly hale and healthy begging for money for food, and I just couldn't wrap my head around that. You aren't blind, deaf, crippled or handicapped, then why? Why beg for money to eat when there is a way you can hustle for it?
The truth is that the moment you don't give them again, they'll rob you. I have seen it happen. Also, I have come to witness cases where after securing a job for someone and making sure they are okay, they still go back to their begging business, and that's because people give them. I know someone who got a shop for a woman after asking her what business she'd like to do. After getting her answer, he got all that she needed there, and the shop was filled to a brim. He transferred some money to her and got her foodstuff also, but still, the woman went back to begging. The guy was furious when he saw her and was very sad.
I know seeing this sort of people may just annoy the heck out of our brain, but that doesn't mean you have to stop. Instead, be sure about who you want to help. I believe communicating with the person first to see how they think will surely help. To me, I believe that when you talk to people, their sense of reasoning will determine if truly this person is worth helping before you help to a fault and feel sad about it later.
Also, anyone who is in their sane mind and does not have any sickness holding them down should not be walking around the street begging for money to eat when you are working your butt out to get something on the table as well. This is just my thoughts, and I'd like to know yours too, and here's a song from Big Sean, Hit-Boy - Loyal To A Fault ft. Bryson Tiller, Lil Durk.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
