Ashlee’s 1998 Dance Hall Crashers Band Tune Picks For Today’s Three Tune Tuesday!

On this lovely Three Tune Tuesday I pick tunes from one band & album! The band is the Dance Hall Crashers. The album is 1998’s “Blue Plate Special”. This 6 song EP released in 1998 was the last major label album the band released. The ska thing that hit mainstream music radio & MTV with likes of No Doubt & Mighty Mighty Bosstones among others was fading even though the brother scene pop punk was thriving. Leaving the Dance Hall Crashers label to only fund a 6 song EP in 1998 instead of a full length record. The band got on some movie soundtracks and small radio play in L.A markets but overall they didn’t get mainstream love and success. The band would record a final album on an independent label in 1999. All songs today are from the album “Blue Plate Special” released in 1998.

First Tune!
Dance Hall Crashers - Lady Luck
Second Tune!
Dance Hall Crashers - She’s Trying
Third Tune!
Dance Hall Crashers - Truly Comfortable
And for a little bonus let’s go with a song from the 1999 independent release follow up that ended up being the bands last album. It was the direct follow up to the album my three tunes above were from!
From the 1999 album “Purr”
Dance Hall Crashers - Beverly Kills
