December 2025 HBD Savings Rewards

     This month I have some updates for you all. First of all is that these monthly HBD Savings rewards will now take place on your Magi Wallet within the Hive blockchain. Why? Staked HBD can be sent to other Hivers without unstaking, and this allows us to earn higher returns because previously I had to unstake the HBD 3 days prior to dispensing the rewards and then send them to your accounts as staked HBD Savings. Otherwise the APR and unstaking schedule are the same as in your HBD Savings wallet.

     The second thing I have noticed is that the native curation HP in the @asean.hive wallet is stagnating, never able to grow beyond 15,000 HP. My main goal has always been to keep the community growing in all ways, so I have decided to make some changes to a few formulas. The monthly HBD Savings rewards in the past came from unstaking 300 HP per week and paying 250 HIVE to myself as a weekly salary and converting 50 HIVE to HBD to be be staked and used for monthly delegator dividends. As much as I need the income right now, I will continue converting 50 HIVE to HBD per week, but I will now only power down 275 HP per week and reduce my weekly HIVE income to 225 HIVE. This should help the native HP continue to get back on a growth pattern.

     One more thing, the monthly HBD Savings will now consist of whatever HBD is earned/staked/leftover from the previous month x 50%, and the remaining 50% will carry over to the next month's dividend payouts. This new formula shrinks the current monthly dividends, but it provides a longterm sustainable ever-increasing APR, so I hope this will also give us some new legs in 2026.

     Okay, so let's just go ahead and get to it. This month @amayphin came onboard as a new GOLD member, so she is now eligible for the monthly dividends. That is the only activity to report to about for the last month of 2025, so I wish you all a Happy New Year for 2026 and aim for ASEAN Hive growth and positive change.
