Spirit - Inktober Day 6

Clase Azul was the first thing that popped into my mind immediately I saw the prompt. One can’t deny how elegant the bottle’s design is. It’s been all the rage here at clubs and social gatherings in Nigeria. At first when I saw the bottle, I thought it looked pretty cool but it had to be more than its expensive price tag.
Interestingly, no two Clase Azul bottles are the same! Each bottle is a high fired ceramic that is handcrafted and hand painted in Santa Maria Canchesda by women. The word Azul means Blue and blue is a color that would eternally be a beautiful hue in itself, from Ming Vases, to indigo dyed textiles. It’s a really pretty color and so is the bottle too. One thing I like about the bottle is how it can be upcycled into a vase for example.
PS: I’ve never tasted it before ( I hope to someday) but I admire the bottle’s design ;)

PROCESS
Materials : Royal Talens Indian Ink, Sinoart Sketchbook Winsor & Newton Brushes
Initially, I wanted a wine glass beside the bottle, but later settled for the bottle being the main focus of the painting. I demarcated the shadows from the areas to have a much stronger lighting.I wish I did a better job with the leaf motifs, but there’s always next time ; )
