Here's another wonderful and touching Studio Ghibli animated film that I wanted to share with you all, especially with all anime lovers.

"When Marnie Was There" tells the story of a young girl named Anna. Anna is an introverted, lonely girl who feels unloved, left out and too shy to make friends, but she loves art. She loves to draw something, and she's very imaginative. Anna suffered from asthma and depression, so the doctor recommended that Ana stay in a place where there is fresh and cleaner air and a more relaxed lifestyle.

Because of that, her foster parents decided to send Ana to her relative's house in a rural seaside town and let Anna temporarily stay there during the summer break.

Anna felt so welcomed and she was amazed by the beautiful scenery in the place. Then she saw an abandoned mansion, and Ana was drawn into it, and it evoked familiarity and mystery for her. One night, Anna attended a Tanabata festival in town, but she did not finish the event for some reason.

Leaving the festival led to Anna meeting Marnie, and their story begins here.

Marnie is a mysterious girl who becomes her close friend. As they meet and bond together, eventually some secrets are uncovered, and they agree to keep them a secret. Marnie showed and taught Anna how loved she is.

This film is another heartfelt anime from Studio Ghibli that deeply moved me emotionally. The story delicately explores the importance of friendship, self-discovery and the power of memories.

All the characters are beautifully complex, and their emotional journeys are portrayed with authenticity. I love the picturesque setting in this film too, the beautiful soundtrack as well hauntingly adds another layer of depth to the storytelling.

For me, this film is also highly recommendable and a must-watch. You will surely love the absolutely stunning visuals, it's a feast of beauty to the eye. The story is extremely mystical with a beautiful twist at the end that can touch your heart with tears.

So, I highly recommend this to you. I hope you'll watch this film and you'll be in love with the story too.
