Daily Blog: An Earthquake Came to our City.

Hello, everyone. It’s me again, your @applejane and will share stories to tell.

It’s been 2 months since I posted my blog. Many things happened during that time especially a disaster wraps our hometown. It was cruel. Very traumatic and until now, I still figuring out on my own ob how to cope this trauma. This was the first day of the Earthquake since a lot of aftershocks occurred here in our home town.

Shattered glass, even my perfume collection was shattered. And it’s fine because my mom and I were safe. Thanks to God that He protected us in any ways. The magnitude was 6.9 and it was really scary. It occurred at 9:59 in the evening so it was scary since a lot of people were asleep. And thankfully, I did not sleep at that time and I hugged my mother and ran in to her since she’s the only one I can count to.
It was momentary. Yet, it can lead us to death. My mom and I then ran to the outside after the quake and I only think of her at that time. And I forgot to bring my dog, he was inside the house. I then ran back to the house and I thought I lost him because he’s nowhere to be found. But luckily, I found him below to my bed. He was scared and traumatized. I will always remember this traumatic event that happened.

My mom and I joined the Holy Rosary with our neighbors. It’s the only thing that we can survive, trusting Him. From the moment that disaster occurred, I was only holding my dog in my arms. Praying that this comes to an end. Giving us peace and hopes. It was really hectic. We are scared to step inside our houses. And we panic because they say that it will have a tsunami which is very dangerous.
For some reason, I realized that when a disaster occurs, we really need to push ourselves to be strong enough. We don’t need to panic because that can only lead us to anxiety. I did that when the disaster occurred. I am happy to see things/individuals are safe. And sad in the other hand because theres a lot of people died because of the earthquake.

At the end of the day, we can only see stars and wished to not be rain. We slept at an open space. We did not sleep inside the house because the aftershocks are very strong. That’s why we slept outside. Actually, I did not sleep. I was scared.
And when the clock hits 4:30 in the morning, a water dripping above my head, it was raining. We evacuate to the house of my brother, not inside the house but the terrace. It’s still dangerous to go inside the house. And later on, at the afternoon, my family build a tent so that we can sleep on.
This blog is quite heavy. I hope you are safe. And I hope you are happy today. Thats all for today’s blog. And Thank you so much for reading.
