Tirzah - My Siamese Cat with Attitude - Caturday

This is Tirzah. I adopted her about a year ago from a family who had her around a yippy dog. To say she was anxious was an understatement. I had wanted a lap cat that was Siamese and I hoped she would fit the bill.

She, however, is Siamese to the core. If you know Siamese cats with major attitude, that is Tirzah. She was even worse in protective mama mode when her babies were small.

Now she pretty well lives outside and she seems to life much better that way. No dogs or kids to mess with her, no other annoying cats trying to chase her, and she can do what she wants. I find her sometimes hanging out by the potted plants trying to catch a bird as it flies by.

On this day, she was napping right in the pot with the fig tree! She was dead out, because as soon as I made a noise, she jumped up!

There is this little ledge right by our front door and it has become her favorite spot to hang out. She jumps up there and gets comfy! As long as she doesn't try to scratch someone as they walk by, she can stay up there and claim it as her own.

This morning I found her on the couch in a box that must have been put there at some point yesterday. The box was mostly closed, so she was just perched in this one little space. Funny girl! I sure do think she's pretty, even if she has a terrible attitude most of the time!

Can't you just see that attitude popping out in her eyes? Ha! She has her good, purring time as well, though! It's just not very often... I love my Tirzah girl!
