A while back we visited the vairabsthan temple. This is a Hindu temple dedicated to a avatar of lord shiva. This is one of the many important temple of the district located in crest of chure mountain range with chilling winds and view of the himalayas.
The temple is popular for a huge trident erected in front of the main temple building which is one of the tallest in the country. It is a tradition to present trident in front of the temple.
The architecture of the temple is quite an example of a pagoda style originated century ago. With decreasing area as one moves from bottom to the top and pinnacle resting on the top.
Many devotees come in numbers specially in the holidays and weekends to worship the kal vairab. It is also tradition to sacrifice animals in the temple compound in the name of lord. Around the great festival of dashain many sacrifices are made and queue starts from as early as 5am.
Finally wanted to show the gathered tridents over time left in the temple compound. Together it gives the strong hinduism air to the surrounding.
Thank you for reading the post, hope you all will be blessed.
