Here is a piece that I have rarely drawn, although if you look at its evolution...

For this piece, I made a pencil sketch as I usually do, but I admit that this one was one of the worst I've ever done, so I digitised it straight away to avoid embarrassing myself (just kidding). I like drawing in pencil; it helps me fit the pieces together more easily and I'm better at drawing lines.

Once I did that, I moved straight on to colouring the outline. This process eliminates the harsh line art, but I'm liking it and I think it's the key to digital art. In fact, I feel like I'm improving little by little. After that, I focused on the background. I used to draw backgrounds on canvas (landscapes, which is something I'm good at and enjoy, and with time I might start making them more elaborate).
