🌎🎮 New Game Pricing Trends Will Increase Piracy In Third World Countries...

So, I watched a video discussing Nintendo's announcement of hiking the price of their games to $80. He uses his experience being raised in Brazil and how much the games cost there, and why such an increase in the prices is a problem!
Watch the video here:
Here in Libya we have a similar situation... A lot of people here make less than $300~ a month. Most people in middle class earn less than that if they had one job. Young men who pay rent, or are saving up for a house have two jobs or side hustles just to get by.
So, one full priced game costs 2 months (or more) worth of a gamer's disposable income. Those of us who buy games treat it like a calculated risk.
There are two popular ways gaming is done here:
(a) Piracy!
...and (b) Physical Disks Trading. Someone will buy one PS5 game, and when they finish it, they trade it with someone else eho finished their game and so on. People who do that only need to buy one full priced game a year.
Then there are (c) the idiots like me who buy their games legally despite the relatively high prices. Though, in my case I mostly do so to not feel guilty when I earn money writing about games here on HIVE/INLEO...
Steam has introduced Regional Pricing for my country recently, and with the Sales, more and more people are starting to buy games legally here. This year I know 2 people who used to pirate games have bought FC25 on Steam with their own money, of course it's for online play, but it's something.
Games prices increasing to $80, or any other price will just hold back the people legally obtaining games here from becoming the norm...
What do you think?
