Please don't give downvotes. I request you please don't give me downvotes. It's an emergency post. I have no way that's why I make a post here
#Please read carefully and help me !! On Monday, February 7th our lives were changed forever. After my first child Umair's death, I adopted her. Her name "Atisha Binte Himadri" nickname - Humaira
My one-year-old sweet daughter "Humaira" was diagnosed with cancer. Like any kid, this time of the year, Humaira has been battling respiratory illnesses since the month of February. I have faced RSV, bronchitis, influenza A,
I had started to notice the last few weeks that "Humaira" has had an increase of symptoms. After a trip to the walk-in clinic on Monday night, it was clear that I had an extremely sick daughter. I was taken directly to Dhaka Medical by ambulance and admitted to the pediatric floor. My daughter was placed on high flow oxygen and had to have many tests done to determine what was going on with her. After a chest x-ray, it was very clear that a CT was needed as soon as possible. After a long night of blood draws, IV placement, and a CT scan our worst fear as a parent was discovered; her CT showed that my sweet girl had a very large and malignant tumor to her right chest cavity. The tumor was completely collapsing her right lung and deviating her heart and opposing lung to the left.
On Tuesday morning Humaira was airlifted to Dhaka with a medical team. My daughter was then admitted to Dhaka PICU. This is where her biopsy took place, a PICC line was placed, and she was sedated, intubated, and placed on a ventilator. Due to the size of her mass and how it is shifting everything to the left, in the event of an emergency these things would be impossible to place, so it was necessary to place them safely at this time. This means I have not heard my daughter's voice since Tuesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, it was determined by medical staff that I needed to continue our care in Dhaka hospital. Due to the severity of Humaira’s tumor, the size, and how it was compressing her heart and pushing her left lung over, I needed the option open of placing her on ECMO (heart and lung bypass) if needed. Again, I was airlifted, and have finally been able to stay in one place.
While being in Dhaka, we have had a busy time and received a lot of information each day. It was determined next Friday that Humaira needed to start chemotherapy even without the final pathology, which she did start Monday afternoon, and has been tolerating well, so far. I started before having a definitive diagnosis because based on her vitals and the mass, she was telling us we needed to get the ball rolling. Moving forward to today I finally have a diagnosis of Ewing’s sarcoma. With this being said, the chemo she started was spot on what she is needing at this time. Down the road, we are looking at continued chemotherapy, surgery, and possible radiation.
As of right now, I'm taking in everything day by day, as so many things have changed so quickly for me. I want to thank everyone, far and near, for the prayers, support, love, texts, calls, you name it. It takes a village to raise kids, and although we never pictured this for me, I feel the friends, relatives supporting me. I'm so fortunate to have family and friends helping us any way that they can, especially back home, so I can put everything I have into getting my daughter healthy. Her fight is my fight! She is extremely strong, anyone that knows her can attest to that, and she is fighting hard for us every single day. Our prayer warriors are being heard!
I assumed that she developed a mucous plug due to resting more yesterday & not coughing as much on her own, which she has in the past, and we just needed to get it out. She also continued to have pretty significant nausea/vomiting due to all the movement. I also assumed she was slightly dehydrated again, as that's what her vitals were starting to show based on the pattern the last few days. Not only was she having these respiratory and GI issues, but the monitor wasn't reading her saturations properly. I'm sorry (not sorry), but when your patient isn't blue and is looking at you, and communicating appropriately let's use some common nursing discretion & not trust the monitor that's telling us our oxygen is at 50%. It just is not likely.
At this moment I need all your support once again to continue her treatment, as this time each chemo cost is much higher than ever before and we have lost all the savings of my life by this time. But since the first fundraising for her treatment, many of friends and relatives came forward, and by the grace of Jesus & all friend's support till now I can effort hospital and medicine and treatment costs at this moment and my heartfelt thanks, love & dua’s for all our friends, family, colleagues, doctors from home & abroad for supporting us in many ways on this journey from the very beginning.
Now once again I need all your support to continue her treatment further, all your small contributions or share of the post with your friends/family & loved ones will help me and may let her live a few more days with her loved ones. ..
Lastly, I am also requesting all to pray for my daughter Humaira, that god ease all her pain with complete shifa. May Jesus blesses us all with good health, happiness & safety always. ..
Now, I badly needed support from all of my friends, the hive community. Please support me what you can.
Highly request Please don't make downvotes in these serious moments. Its request is mine. Please please don't put downvotes.
Please support me by upvotes or direct hive donation. Stay beside me. I'm now completely helpless that's why I need to make a post here.
Please !! Please !! Please !!
