🌌 Starwing Full Power! Magic Chess Review: Change Seasons With Commander Kagura

Playing Magic Chess in a new season is always full of surprises. This time, I tried something I've long wanted to achieve: the full Starwing synergy with up to 10 heroes.
After 12 failed attempts, I finally managed to activate it and summon a giant airship with truly inhuman damage.
In this game, I used Commander Kagura because she's stable in the early game and can help maintain health so she doesn't lose blood before the synergy is established.
🌸 Introduction to Commander Kagura (Flower Season)
This Flower Season skin gives off a subtle yet elegant aura. The skills I used in this match were:
🔮 Skill 1 – Shield Umbrella (Active)
In the Preparation Stage, you can choose a hero to automatically grant a shield.
When that hero's HP drops below 50% in battle, the shield immediately activates at 60% of their Max HP.
This skill is especially useful for core heroes who are easily picked off by enemies, like Lesley or Harley. They can survive a little longer until Stargazer's damage activates.
🌗 Passive – Yin Yang Gathering
The shield value increases to 125% of Max HP.
This is what makes Kagura so powerful this season her shield is thick, and her activation timing is perfect for saving key heroes.
⚡ Emblem – Thunderbolt
Provides an additional 4% Crit Rate to all heroes.
This is quite good for a Stargazer composition, where the majority of damage comes from bursts and fast attacks.
🔮 Team Setup: Full Starwing
My Build:
- Lesley
- Harley
- Saber
- Atlas
- Guinevere
- Freya
- Mathilda
- Vexana
- Belerick
- Fanny
That makes a total of 10 active Starwing, and this is where the magic happens.
Once all 10 heroes are gathered, the Starwing transform completely: a Star Mothership appears and joins the fight. It fires brutal lasers at the enemy from the first second the round starts.
🚀 The Ship's Damage Is Unbelievable Anymore…
During one round, I opened the damage panel and the results made me laugh out loud.
Turns out the plane alone contributed 39,928 damage!
Below:
- Lesley: 6,743
- Guinevere: 4,192
- Saber: 3,127
- Harley: 2,249
- Belerick: 1,673
So it's really clear that this plane is incredibly powerful.
Just its initial attack is enough to wipe out half the enemy board before they can move.
😩 The Struggle to Get 10 Starwing
Don't think it's easy.
Before getting this formation, I lost 12 games in a row because:
- Starwing heroes were fought over
- Not enough gold to push to level 9
- The shop was stingy with giving Harley/Freya last
- Or losing the streak before the formation was complete
So when I finally managed to collect 10 complete heroes, it felt like hitting the jackpot after a long time playing.
⚔️ Victory Moment: Enemies Vanish in Seconds
In the final round, the plane appeared first and started firing laser bombardments from the side of the arena.
644 damage kept coming.
The enemy formation instantly crumbled and was rendered completely useless. Within seconds, they were gone.
And the screen slowly displayed the most satisfying text in Magic Chess:

🔥 BOOM! I Finally Stand at the Top of the Leaderboard
As soon as the round ended, I checked the leaderboard… and the name I'Am_Good stood at the top.
First place. Top of the leaderboard. A winning streak.
All the struggle all the failed matches, all the wasted gold, all the stingy rolls had finally paid off.
And this was no ordinary victory. This was a victory born of strategy, patience, and a little recklessness in chasing down 10 Starwing.
