Greetings!

Welcome to the weekly edition of my "Daily Grind" series of blogs. In this blog, I am up against a very dangerous food chain deck. Food Chain decks are very dangerous once they can execute their combos. Once they did, my only chance against them is for the food chain card not to summon cards with blitz.

I thought I was going to lose, but I was able to turn it around and dominate the match by making sure that I got to finish my opponent and prevent him from completing his combo.

Featured Match

God Power: Rapture

Mulligan

As always, I am looking for my 1-2 mana cards that I could play on the first turn. I also make sure to get at least one card with Blitz.

1 Mana

I played Trial Spirit. My opponent played Wild Board

2 Mana

I played Wood-Cutter Imp to kill Wild Board, I went face. My opponent played Black Jaguar.

3 Mana

I played Tavern Brawler to kill Black Jaguar. I went face. My opponent played Cornered Howler and killed all my creatures on the board.

4 Mana

I played Blade of Styx, and I went face. I played Warmonger Smith. My opponent played Wild Boar and Cressida, the anomalous.

5 Mana

I killed Cresside using the Blade of Styx. I killed the remaining creature of my opponent using Warmonger Smith. I played Raid Reveller. My opponent played Animal Bond and Path of Nature.

5.1 Mana

I played Dead Sentry, I went face. My opponent played Dread Dear and killed two of my creatures. My opponent played Marsh Walker.

6 Mana

I killed Marsh Walker using Incoming Raid. My opponent played Cornered Howler.

6.1 Mana

I played Soul Survivor to kill all of the creatures of my opponent on the board. I went face. My opponent conceded, and it was GG.
