When Noman practiced art in his small-town studio he received a strange commission from an eccentric client. An eccentric wealthy resident commissioned the artist to create a painting although he refused a portrait of his own face. The reclusive patron provided Noman with an ancient damaged photograph showing a woman who looked through him with spooky eyes.

Noman began to detect supernatural sensations when working on his artwork in the studio. With the paintbrush acting independently it created a living representation of the woman's features. An icy wind followed his conclusion while the subject in the canvas produced a gentle grin.

The following day the unidentified client disappeared completely. The artwork stayed there watching for no apparent reason since it seemed to hide a mystery.
