Tom Brady gets the Sports Illustrated Cover after the Patriots win SB XLIX! - February 9-16, 2015 Double Issue

I've been doing some slow digging through my boxes that have still been un-opened in my tiny apartment, and I came across some of my old Sports Illustrated magazines! What a cool thing to re-discover.
I used to have WAYYYYY more, but now I only managed to save about 15-25 roughly. I wish I saved them ALL! These magazines give me a lot of joy and nostalgia when I look at them and through them.
They still send these magazines out and stuff right? Maybe it's like ONLY digital nowadays. I'd love to re-subscribe soon! I actually bought this one at a Wal-Mart or something, when I wasn't subscribed.
The more I consider my past/childhood it becomes more and more clear why I like blogging. It's basically three MAIN reasons. Well, four. I've always loved sports for one. Reasons two and three are kind of combined in that I used to receive both Sports Illustrated AND Nickelodeon magazines in the mail growing up.
Man, those were the best days ever. Staying up, and reading them. Just amazing I was SPOILED huh? LOL.
The final reason was I believe, came from watching my sister make a lot of impressive scrapbooks from actual PRINTED photos you can TOUCH. I always thought her scrapbooks were cool.
Combining those factors, here I am rambling on....
So yeah, this is not a CARD post but I feel it's absolutely in the neighborhood of cards.
Cards can be the main course of this community, but other cards and memorabilia can absolutely serve as the appetizers and sides every now and again!
This magazine I was just compelled to buy, this was a very special Super Bowl. The game was amazing, and ten days later my son was born! Awesome stuff overall.
But speaking of the game more, it was just extraordinary! I actually haven't looked back on this one in awhile, but I remember being on the edge of my seat the whole game. It might be my second favorite Super Bowl, at least off the top of my head. My first favorite is still the year when the Giants spoiled the Pats perfect season.
But obviously the biggest and most legendary play in this Super Bowl was made by the Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler when he made the miraculous game winning interception AT THE GOAL LINE. An interception many still think should have never happened because people still think they should have ran it, as the ball was extremely close to the goal line. That play still gives me goosebumps.
Here is the FULL GAME wow, I might have to watch this a little tonight or in full another time.
Solid cover!
These pictures are so epic, just amazing. I really feel like a kid, as I flip through these pages.
Classic Super Bowl Image right here. Patriots Defensive End Rob Ninkovich. He must feel amazing in that moment.
Titans Tidbit
Of course, right after the season ends, in typical magazine fashion, next season speculation began!
In this cool SB SI issue, Sports Illustrated missed on Troy Polamalu becoming a Titan (that would have been EPIC), but eventually their DeMarco Murray prediction came true even though it was a about a season too early. Murray actually was an Eagle for one season before joining the two-tone blue in 2016.
Demarco's time in Tennessee was brief, but pretty good at times. I enjoyed watching him play! He was a huge signing at the time, a real superstar. I remember I was PUMPED when he came to Tennessee. He helped change the culture in Tennessee, and I believe his impact still remains to this day for the franchise.
What do you think of this magazine, and Super Bowl XLIX?
Maybe one day there will be a Hammer Sports Magazine!
