XRP "Integrated" Into SWIFT?
There is a lo of buzz going round lately about XRP having been "integrated" into SWIFT. I've seen countless videos on YouTube claiming this. I'm an XRP fan and I make a lot of videos about it myself but, damn, this is getting out of hand.
NO. XRP hasn't been integrated into SWIFT. Instead, Ripple's message network, Ripple Net, is interoperable with SWIFT because of the ISO20022 standard. Ripple CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, did state that they are looking at working with SWIFT to encourage compatibility and cooperation but someone found some code or something where SWIFT and XRP were listed together as payment options, and all fake news hell broke loose.
The XRP community is hungry for any bit of good news, even though there's plenty of it. The issue is, a lot of it will only affect price in the long run. People are looking for something that will change the price NOW. This may explain why XRP videos consistently get so many views. More views means more money for content creators. More money means more clickbait and fake news.
The irony is, my video will not get the same high views as the ones spreading disinformation with clickbait. Not even close. Now I could have made the same clickbait fake news video and would have made a nice chunk of change from it. The bigger irony is, I get lumped in with the click baiters anyway, regardless, so there's no actual practical reason not to click bait apart from my own personal morals. Morals that nobody really gives a rats behind about. I feel a lot of people have made this calculation and came to different conclusions from me. A lot of these YouTube click baiters probably started off differently and decided to make more money instead.
The bottom line is; the world LOVES click bait and fake news. It's been with us since the advent of the printing press. It's simple demand and supply. Otherwise tabloid newspapers wouldn't be so popular.
Peace & Love,
Adé
