There is a new meme coin in town - MONG Coin.

This was born due to the "incoherence" of a US Congressman, Brad Sherman, during a hearing where he expressed his apprehension about crypto by comparing it to the USD. In usual uninformed politician style, he mumbled and fumbled his words and put up a straw man crypto coin to ridicule. Well, congratulations Sherman, our "Mongoose Coin" is now a reality with a ticker symbol $MONG.

Congressman Brad Sherman is a U.S. politician who has served as a representative for California's 30th congressional district since 1997. Sherman is a member of the Democratic Party and featured prominently in the impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

The congressman has been an advocate for various issues. He has been particularly focused on financial services, tax policy, and foreign affairs. Sherman has served on the House Committee on Financial Services, where he has championed consumer protection, affordable housing, and the regulation of financial institutions. He has also been an active member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

The problem is, the financial ecosystem of the past, back when the congressman attained his qualifications, and that of now are totally different. As such, his lack of understanding of new things, like the blockchain and crypto, was clearly visible. It's not just Sherman - it's quite a common thing these days. If you remember the "grilling" of the CEO of TikTok recently, it was sort of the same thing.

I don't know why they don't just hire someone that is savvy and up to date. They do it for other procedures. I've seen lawyers, accountants and journalists hired to ask relevant questions in hearings before. You can actually see my reaction to the video of Brad Sherman in the video above.
