Inktober day 12 - Forget

Todays inktober prompt was forget. It took me a while to think what to draw for this but i ended up with Neville Longbottom's remembrall in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. When he forgets something the smoke inside turns red. Initially i was doing inktober with only black and white but i felt like this needed the red inside to make it what it is.

I still need to work on my shading techniques but practice makes perfect. Here are some of the progress shots from todays piece as i have noticed this seems to be the standard on hive. Im still getting a hang of how things go here and any tips and tricks would be appreciated.
