Is it Necessary To Learn Coding?

Hello to all hive users π€β€οΈπ
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your lifeπ
There is no need to tell how much the dependency of software has increased in our lives. Out of all the things we use daily, 80% of them use some kind of software. As soon as you wake up in the morning, you see your mobile phone and the mobile phone is full of software, after this you turn it on to take a bath, you must have seen that it heats up to a certain temperature, after that it turns off automatically, software is also used in this process. Similarly, so many types of software are used in our daily life. Coding is used to make software and in today's time everyone wants to learn coding because people feel that there is a good scope in coding and it can create a good future. If we talk about about 10 years ago, then there was not much scope of coding at that time, but in the last 10 years, technology has changed a lot and the dependency in software has increased a lot. Earlier it used to be that software was used a lot not only in foreign countries but now the dependency related to software has started increasing in almost all the countries. Nowadays the demand for software engineers is high because coding and technology has started increasing a lot everywhere. In such a situation, everyone wants to provide their services in software technology.
Now as it has been asked in the topic whether learning coding should be compulsory. For this I would like to say that people who are interested in software related fields and those who want to make their future in coding should learn coding because it will prove to be very helpful for them in the future. This subject should not be made compulsory but should be kept optional so that only those who are interested in it can learn it. Not everyone wants to become a software engineer when they grow up, but there are many other professions available and in optional they should be taught all the things so that they can decide their profession according to them in the future. If a child is not interested in coding, then if a school makes that subject compulsory, then what will happen is that the child will start feeling that the subject is a burden because his interest is in something else and he should be taught the subject in which he is interested.
I see that school children already have a lot of study load on them and if more load is put on them then they will get upset and will not understand what to study in the future. In such a situation, if studies are done according to their interest, then it will happen that children will study only selected subjects and they will pay more attention to the subjects of their interest and not to those things which may not be of any use to them in the future. Please, it is very important to know the basic things but if even after coming to higher classes you are studying those things which are not going to be of any use to you in the future then it is a waste of time in a way.
Therefore, according to me, it is not necessary for every child to learn coding because apart from coding, there are many such subjects which can give you a better profession in the future.
