Animals Are not for entertainment

All of us must have visited the zoo at some time or the other and there are many people who often go to the zoo and see wild animals and they go there to get entertained. Well, there are many types of zoos and where you will get to see different types of wild animals. Now the first question is whether animals are exploited in the zoo. So in answer to this question, I would like to say that it does happen but not everywhere. Exploitation mainly happens in those places where those people only run after making profit and they do not have any interest in seeing animals much. The animals of such zoos are not happy and they live in a kind of captivity because their life becomes very disturbed there. These zoos are of that type where maintenance is very low and cost cutting is done in everything. If animals are living in such zoos, then they must not be getting any special food and drink and the animals there must be facing a lot of problems.

Well, it is the responsibility of the organization which is approving the zoo to take care of the animals there and keep inspecting the zoos which they have approved from time to time because those animals are now their responsibility and if any person is found violating the rules of the zoo, then his license should be cancelled and those animals should be released back in the forest from where they were brought. Animals are not for entertainment and just like we have a life, they also have a life and they have full right to live their life. Some people feel that they are the most powerful creatures in this world because they can speak and have the ability to think but I do not believe this at all because the greatest in this world is the one who has created us and all creatures are equal in this world and everyone has the right to live here. This world belongs to other creatures as much as it belongs to humans.

There are some species of animals which are on the verge of extinction and to preserve such species, the government can build zoos and keep those animals there but they should take care of every little thing of those animals and not lock them up like a prisoner. I still remember that there used to be a zoo near our school and many times when we were going from school, we used to see Barasingha roaming around but we could not go towards it because there was a very big fencing there. That fencing was done in a very large area, it was a forest area and if seen, they were not being imprisoned there but were left open in the forests and they could roam in a large area. Many times we used to give those animals some of our leftover tiffin through the fencing and they used to come there daily at that time.

However, animals that were dangerous like bears or leopards were kept in a separate room and a separate place was made for them to roam around and that place was completely fenced with iron rods so that many animals could not come out and attack anyone. Animals face problems when they are made to do some work for which they are not made. You must have seen that many times animals are brought to the circus for entertainment and those people exploit animals to earn money which is totally wrong and such things should be completely stopped because animals face problems in this.

If animals are kept in a zoo and they are being taken care of or protected or something is being done for their welfare then there is no harm in it but if they are being exploited then in the zoo they have to live like a prisoner in jail. When animals live in the jungle, they have to face many problems there and sometimes they don't even get proper food but in the zoo things are quite different and they get food and care but if this is being done in the right way then the zoo is the best option but if this is being done to earn profit or there is some other reason then according to me such zoos which are exploiting animals should be closed.

Today, there are many such organizations in our society that are working for the welfare of animals and we should help such organizations and support them as much as possible because these people work for those voiceless animals and it would be a proud thing to support such people.
