A project worth it…

Early last year, I had numerous missions and goals to accomplish. I had all of them listed out, and then I gradually began to checkmark them as I completed them. I had some that are just so easy to accomplish, and I also had some heavy goals among them too.
At some point, it was almost mid-year year and I haven’t even accomplished half of the goals I set for myself. Some of them are the projects where I get to choose to improve my daily life, and some where I choose to progress in my business.
Of all the heaviest and most expensive among them was the preparation I had to make to get into the catfish rearing section. The plan was projected to cost me a lot of money that I just don’t know where and how I would make possible.

I had a target of accomplishing it before the seventh year ran to an end. But once it was eight months, I was still nowhere to be found. I already had almost all of my money lent out.
Come the 9th month, and then things began to fall in place. I kick-started the project. The expenses choked me but I was able to hit my target at the end of it all.
It became the most expensive project I embarked on last year. I was able to install the iron pond, run its plumbing work, and also get to have it stocked with some fish for sale by the end of the season.
Getting this done had actually improved my business and added to my confidence. I now have the strong mindset and courage that I can achieve whatever I set my mind on no matter how long and how much it takes.

True failure lies in not being able to take any step towards one’s plan. I failed the date i planned but it came to pass at some other date. I also had another plan to get a solar pump for my business. To aid my productivity and profitability. But I actually failed again.
I planned to accomplish that by the end of last year. But I wasn't. So I can say last year was over, but this year is just another year to get harder and stronger.
It might turn out to be my most expensive project I will accomplish this year. And many others could also surface by mid-year.
There is a thin line between setting one’s mind on something and accomplishing it. The cut between both is taking action. I had almost similar experience with the most expensive project I worked on in 2024. So, as for this year 2026, then I can say they won’t be much of a difference.
This is my response to the HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in the hive-learners community for the Week 199 Edition 1, and the topic to be discussed is EXPENSIVE.
